Fahad Al Tamimi
As
the founder of TIMCO, Fahad Al Tamimi has played a central role in
numerous successful Middle Eastern infrastructure projects, across the
energy, mining and transportation sectors, for more than 30 years.
Through
a variety of Saudi companies and partnerships, including TIMCO, Al
Haitam, Oceanic Trans Shipping and Amarco hotel, Fahad Al Tamimi
employs nearly 5,000 people across the country. He is the former
Chair and Co-owner of Worley Parsons Saudi Arabia – a leading service
provider in the engineering sector in Saudi Arabia.
Under Fahad Al Tamimi’s leadership, Worley Parsons managed the $5billion phosphate programs for Ma’aden in Saudi Arabia.
Fahad
Al Tamimi is also the former CEO of SaudConsult, the largest
engineering company in Saudi Arabia, and he continues to advise the
company’s Founder and Chairman in a senior consultant capacity.
It
is estimated that through these engineering groups, Fahad Al Tamimi was
previously responsible for 60 – 70% of the engineering works undertaken
by the world’s largest oil company (Saudi Aramco).
Business & Investment Portfolio Over
the course of his illustrious career, Fahad Al Tamimi has built a
diverse portfolio of global businesses and investments including:
Trading & Contracting – Supplying key materials to the oil and petrochemical sectors, building construction and industrial projects in Saudi Arabia. Shipping – He has also invested in two Crude Oil tankers (Hero 1 and Leander) in Norway. Agriculture
Sector – Fahad Al Tamimi is actively involved in several agricultural
projects in the Egypt Delta, which exports produce to the EU market. Leisure & Entertainment – Fahad Al Fahad’s interests in Egypt also include a large investment in two Nile ports and a Nile cruise ship.
Education
A
talented student in his youth, Fahad Al Tamimi was awarded a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Petroleum
and Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He then earned a Master of
Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston,
Texas.
